About Me:
As a teacher I have always strived to be the best that I can be – whether that was in my interactions with children in the classroom, working with parents or colleagues either in a supportive mentor or coaching role. In my last position this coaching had to be combined with more assertive skills in order to effect change whilst maintaining positive relationships with staff.
I am able to form a rapport with young people and adults quickly and I am able to adapt to meet their needs and work with them in a way that suits them. I use a range of strategies including art, puppetry and comic strips to actively engage and listen to their feelings and concerns. I also use cognitive activities to facilitate them to work out what changes they want to make and look for alternative strategies and patterns of behaviour that will enable them to be more successful in school.
Having spent over 20 years working in education in the UK, in various roles, I am moving abroad and willing to share some of my skills and expertise with others. I have a current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service check) in the UK. I have a full CV and I am able to supply references on request.

BA (QTS) with Biological Science – Roehampton Institute (Now the University of Roehampton)
Cert SEN(ASD) – Christ Church Canterbury
MA Ed – University of Chichester
