All of us remember the teacher that made a difference. They were the person who took time to find out the things that interested us, and then used it to motivate us to learn. A really skilled teacher also takes the time to work out the skills that we are best at, and enable us to demonstrate that learning in a way that suits us – whether it is through art, story, factual information, or through the spoken word.

As a teacher in the UK I have used a range of resources to support children to make effective progress. If your child requires some additional support to master key skills in speaking and listening, reading, writing or in numeracy and is aged between 4-11, then I am happy to do this. I tailor activities to their interests, providing a mixture of both structured and open approach so that children not only acquire skills but are able to use them in a range of practical situations.

I am also willing to offer advice to parents  who are struggling to manage a situation in school around their child and suggest ways to find routes forward.
